Unatoč sve većem broju prekršaja i konstantnom “cjepkanju” igre, Split je do kraja utakmice imao još dvije odlične prilike za izjednačenje. U 75. minuti Ježina je izvanrednim refleksom obranio udarac Vitaića s pet metara, a u 81. Erceg je pucao malo pored vratnice.
Zadar se ovom pobjedom malo odmaknuo od opasne zone i napravio mali korak na putu ostanka u ligi. Split je, pak, ponovno prepustio treću poziciju Slavenu, koji će uknjižiti tri boda protiv Varaždina.
